A sworn translation (traducción jurada) is a translation that carries the official seal and signature of a translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This certification gives the translated document legal validity, meaning it can be presented to any government body, court, university, or official institution in Spain.

When You Need a Sworn Translation

Nationality and residency applications. University enrollment with foreign degrees. Marriage registration with foreign certificates. Legal proceedings involving foreign documents. Business registration with foreign corporate documents. Any situation where a Spanish authority requires an official translation.

What You Receive

The translated document with the sworn translator's certification statement, signature, seal, and MAEC registration number. Delivered digitally (PDF with electronic signature) or in print. Both formats are equally valid.
